Magic Carpet is a handsome, C.C.A. era keel/centerboard yawl which was designed by Sparkman & Stephens and built by the well regarded German builders, Matteisen and Paulsen, in 1959. She is built to the highest specifications with white oak stem, keel, deadwood and frames; double-planked Honduras mahogany with diagonal bronze strapping; teak deck with teak house, coamings and trim; bronze centerboard, fastenings and hardware. Winner of the Cruising Club of America's 1959 Marblehead-Halifax race, Magic Carpet effortlessly reaches to speeds of 10 knots, making her a memorable day-sailor and a venerable ocean-sailor. Her masthead yawl split rig enables a variety of sail configurations to suit all winds. Come for a sail on this beautiful and bristol-maintained yacht, enjoy the comfort and style of a classic wooden yawl.
